I am incredibly passionate about my work and truly believe that we all have the power to create change in our lives.


I can provide you with a safe space where you can begin to understand your difficulties. Using a warm and containing approach we can explore how your difficulties are being maintained and what barriers are preventing you living your life as you wish. We can work at a pace that feels right for you so that you are able to grow and find meaning in life. I can teach you skills and techniques that can instigate change, increase confidence and bring about a sense of empowerment.

My therapeutic approach draws mainly on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, however I also have experience integrating other approaches including Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

As a scientist-practitioner I often begin therapy by explaining the biology that drives our emotions and physiological reactions. This will allow you to develop practical skills you can use to regain control over your emotions. We will then go on to draw upon a range of approaches to formulate and address individual difficulties.

I can help you with:

Depression (sense of hopelessness, isolation, lack of connection with others)

Anxiety (excessive worry, racing thoughts, social embarrassment)

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (compulsions, intrusive thoughts and images)

Perinatal Depression and bonding difficulties (Moms and/or Dads)

Post Traumatic Stress


Low self-esteem


Life transitions

Sleep difficulties

One off anxiety management sessions prior to interviews or big events

Clinician Services:

I am a trained CBT supervisor and can offer clinical supervision outside of working hours for those working independently or for private companies.

I have over 13 years worth of clinical experience. I began working with children suffering from profound and multiple learning disabilities, and have gone on to work with violence and anger, brain injury, and in primary and secondary mental health care, including crisis care and IAPT service. I currently work for an employee management company delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and as a Critical Incident Debriefer.

I don't believe that I, or any other therapist can be somebodies 'magic pill' but I do believe that with help and support we all have the ability to make sense of ourselves and the way we think, feel, and behave. I also believe that you have to find the right therapy and therapist for your needs.
