Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that targets and processes specific memories that are stuck or are hard to move on from. These memories may replay over and over in your mind, or they may have altered the way your view yourself or your abilities. Initially developed for work on trauma, EMDR has shown good applications in other areas including phobias, anxiety and OCD. You will not be asked to talk about what has happened to you in lots of detail, and there is little to no between session work. Unlike other forms of therapy, where one session a week is recommended, EMDR sessions can also be delivered in quick succession if required.
